Bronze Med/Bronze Cross Combo
Service Description
Cost: $625 - NO HST Candidates complete the Bronze Medallion course and Bronze Cross courses concurrently at the same time. Location: Don Mills Collegiate Institute (pool) Address: 15 The Donway East, North York, M3C 1X6 Duration: 15 hours (The course is completed on Thursdays from 6pm - 9pm over the course of 4 weeks) Prerequisites: Minimum 13 years of age or Bronze Star certification (need not be current). The Lifesaving Society deems its certifications to be "current" for 24 months from the certification date. SFA and EFA courses are valid for 36 months from the certification date. Bronze Medallion: challenges the candidate both mentally and physically. Judgment, knowledge, skill, and fitness – the four components of water rescue – form the basis of Bronze Medallion training. Bronze Cross course is designed for lifesavers who want the challenge of more advanced training including an introduction to safe supervision in aquatic facilities. Bronze Cross is a prerequisite for all advanced training programs including National Lifeguard and Instructor certification.
